Sur les tondeuses manuelles, l'entraînement est directement relié à l'arbre et la lame tourne en continu.<\/p><p>La fonction de l'embrayage de lame est de relier l'arbre du moteur à l'entraînement de la lame. La <strong>courroie d'entraînement<\/strong> assure la<strong> transmission de la puissance<\/strong> depuis l'embrayage. L'embrayage permet de séparer l'arbre de l'entraînement et de mettre ainsi ce dernier au point mort. La lame n'est donc entraîné que lorsque l'<strong>utilisateur enclenche l'embrayage de la lame<\/strong> et relie ainsi l'arbre à l'entraînement. <\/p><p>On distingue l'embrayage de lame <strong>mécanique<\/strong> et l'<strong>électromagnétique<\/strong>. La différence est très facile à reconnaître visuellement, car l'embrayage électromagnétique est généralement plus compact et équipé d'un câble. <\/p><p>Chaque tracteur de pelouse ne dispose que d'un seul embrayage de lame.
